FAQQ. Why should I work with an Employment Counselor? Can't I just do this for myself? A. Of course you can attempt to manage your job search on your own. But it will take a lot of your time as you may live outside Canada. And the results may not be hopeful. The advantage of working with a Career Consultant is similar to the advantage of working with a lawyer, personal trainer, financial planner or accountant -- you team with a partner who can advise you in their area of expertise. You don't have to take the time to become an expert yourself. Working with a Career Consultant will help you reach your goals efficiently and effectively. We take a unique approach to providing career assistance. We focus on marketing you successfully to employers. We are not a human resources organization or a psychological counseling company. Our approach to assisting you with your job search is based on our experience working with Professionals and assistance with licensing and certification information. Although we offer support and encouragement, we offer it with the ultimate objective which is to help you reach your career goals by arming you with proper and accurate information and enhancing your marketability to Canadian employers.
