Weather

Manitoba is known for it's extremely cold winters, but summer temperatures vary according to location. Northern areas of the province have cool to cold summers because of their extreme latitude and proximity to Hudson Bay.

Southern Manitoba is milder than the north: Summer high temperatures generally range from 26-27 C, although it can reach 32 C or more during the day. Nights can be more than 11 C cooler.

Winters are long, windy and cold. Expect June temperatures of 11-23 C and rain through to July. August-October is the driest period. September temperatures run 7-19 C, and October ranges are 1-11 C.
